We'll notify you by email, fax, mail or telephone if we can't fulfill your order because items are either not yet in print or are out of stock. We will give you an estimate of when we expect the item will be available for shipment.

Just let us know how long you want us to keep the backorder. If you are leaving on a trip and need the backordered item before your departure, you might prefer to substitute a similar book or map, or you might advise us to cancel your order if it can't be shipped by a certain date.
